The backbone workers for our Global Youth Development mentoring programmes are our Youth Navigators, which can be a dynamic and challenging role. Youth Navigators are experienced youth workers, pastoral team, educators and mentors who create various initiatives that supports our young people to improve their mental health & wellbeing, education, training and employment opportunities. The Youth Navigator’s role is the fundamental point of difference in our youth development model, assigned to various programmes that benefit young people and their families.
The Youth Navigators team aim to journey with our young people, and work closely with Global Hope Missions management team to set, organise and run youth initiatives aimed for young people aged between 11 – 25 years old. They provide support, information and establish relationships with young person and their family, communities, schools and other like-minded agencies, community initiatives that welcomes and supports everyone with a passion for youth work and youth development.
GHM is also members of Ara Taiohi, which is the peak body for youth development in Aotearoa, and a network of over 1600 personal and organisations representing a diverse range of groups and practitioners that work with young people.
